What a price was paid for your life
You wash yourself in compromise
You mockery of Christ!
You mock Him with your life

You sing "hallelujah" and like Christian Facebook posts
and think it shows you love the Lord of Hosts
Then go and hate and swear and curse
You hate the God who loved you first

You claim to subscribe to the Gospel
You get emotional and make it sound heartfelt
Yet your prayers are rampant with selfishness
No love of God or holiness

All you care about is your emotions!
You give no mind for the God who made the oceans
Oh unless you need something, then He's good enough
You even pray for Him to help you attain your sinful lusts!

This is ridiculous!
There is no fear of God in your eyes
Only an accessory to glamorize your life
You do not treasure Christ!
You are in love with your compromise

Radical Christian? I call it radical rebellion
You thank Him for saving you from Hell and then
You give yourself to immorality, greed and deceit
and make those searching twice the sons of Hell they were previously

And you say: "How dare you judge me??"
Oh please
The Apostle Paul would turn in his grave
if he saw you and I eating from the same communion plate!

And this is not about me vs. you
and who is better or more in tune with the truth
This is about the difference between two kinds of hearts:
One that is changed by grace and one that was deceitful from the start

And don't tell me it's too hard
Most of your sins are not attached to you like body parts
if that were the case, there would be grace for you
Your brothers and sisters would pray for you

But no, this goes beyond mere temptation
Your compromise is willing and intended degradation
And to soothe your conscience you become so prideful
that no one can help you or hold you accountable

How could this be? The Lord of all eternity
was bruised and torn and battered for thee
and you spit on and curse
and shame that blood-strained tree!

You claim loving obedience yet practice treason
You take His commands and replace it with your reason
And use lip service or emotion to justify
the way your life mocks the God who died

Please, be honest with yourself
If you were really struggling you'd have sought help
Not to carry on the way you are, but to change
But you've only changed yourself to suit yourself since the day you were "saved"

What a price was paid for your life
You wash yourself in compromise
You mockery of Christ!
You mock Him with your life.

I really really love this poem ^^ what makes it awesome is it's THE truth about how Christians are. Unfortunately there r Christians who claim they would really do anything for God but then they stab His back by saying 'I don't need You. -I- can do this. This will be done -my- way' True, that it is easier said than done to always follow His commandments because we have been born in a world of sin- it's in our blood. Here's the important thing- the question is not what should I do in this situation that's so confusing?, but the REAL question that we should ask ourselves every day so we don't seem like arrogant hypocrites that the world sees us everyday is this-- what would Jesus do in this situation? I have failed to ask myself this as well and I'm working on it. We fail to ask ourselves this because everyone of us, even Christians, say we can do everything in life on our own but yet we forget the reason y we're here- who gave us life, who gave us family and friends and yet we say we can do LIFE on our own? The truth is-NO! We can't, not 100% on our own. He's the reason why we're breathing, why we're healthy, why we can do things the way we can like reading, writing, solving issues, talents and gifts only HE can provide, not the world! Our talents were in our blood and we just didn't know it and maybe some friends helped us realize what we had, but most important of all JESUS is who gave us our talents from when we were born, JESUS is who is ALWAYS by our side come rain or shine, JESUS will ALWAYS believe in us when we r down.
